TOTALED materialized in 2017 and recorded its ferocious introductory wrath, Lament. While lyrically ruminating in the abstract emptiness of an impervious void and grappling with paradoxical duality, the auditory gloom of Lament conjures sorrowing burial strings that furiously discharge into an onslaught of punishing resonance wrought with crushing despair, depression, and scavenging hopelessness.

Pummeling blasts and d-beats pound into peripherally orbiting shadows of the pixelated black, beneath the pulverizing density of nihilistic bass distortion in a mournful offering of somber funeral strains; the digested celestial nothingness of the eaten, frozen in dimensions of cyclical nooses and gnawing bacterial ether. Conceived incarnations of sorrowful mists from the harvest bereave the morbid light in which we suffer.

Lament is now available on LP, CD, and digital platforms. Place orders for the vinyl HERE, and the CD and digital can be found HERE.

“Eight highly intense tracks of something like blackened hardcore with inconceivably fast drums, virtuosic leads indicative of what else but a bartered soul, and an inescapable dread that pursues the listener for Lament’s entire thirty-seven minutes.” – Decibel Magazine

“Within the first minutes of the album Totaled have shown to have impressive control over black metal and hardcore, revealing also a subterranean grind presence and a tilt towards the melodic side of death metal. Now, that is a lot to pack into one record, but the war-ready mentality of Totaled is what gels their sonic identity together so well. The relatively short duration of Lament also bolsters this volatile attitude, allowing the band to condense their material but not their scope.” – PopMatters

“Like a hailstorm of warbling and erratic electricity, the album’s static chaos abruptly shifts between blast beats and d-beats, rapidfire tremolo picking, and slow, grimy breakdowns. Ceaselessly pulverizing throughout its eight tracks, Lament’s journey into abject nihilism stands as a remarkably refined first release from this impressive new group.” – Invisible Oranges
