New York City-based progressive rock/metal storytellers, EDENSONG, have announced a co-headlining Spring tour with their cohorts in Imminent Sonic Destruction, as well as several other high profile festival and performance updates.

EDENSONG has confirmed several new shows for the rest of Winter and early Spring, including a performance supporting Pain of Salvation and Next To None at Webster Hall’s Marlin Room in New York City on February 26th. Their next confirmed performance will be on May 7th, when the band plays at RoSfest 2017 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania with Neal Morse, Anglagard, and many more. Later that month, May 20th sees EDENSONG billed as one of the main headliners at Terra Incognita Festival in Quebec with Glasshammer, Universe Effects, and more.

Immediately following Terra Incognita Festival, EDENSONG meets up with Imminent Sonic Destruction for their run of tour dates through Toronto, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, and New York City May 22nd through 28th.

EDENSONG‘s 2016 album Years In The Garden Of Years, their first for Laser’s Edge, features over seventy minutes of music, mastered with audiophile precision by Grammy winning engineer Bob Katz, stunning original illustrations from beloved surrealist painter Dan May, and the track “The Atman Apocalypse” featuring a guest appearance by Adrian Belew (King Crimson, Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Talking Heads, etc.). The album has been dubbed “a more than worthy successor” to their acclaimed 2008 debut release The Fruit Fallen by Ytsejam.com, deemed, “truly a breath of fresh air,” by Chris Herin (Tiles, Discipline), and called, “intelligent, clever, exciting, and technically excellent new music,” by Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull).

EDENSONG is working on a massive new music video production as well, the new video to be completed in time for the North American tour dates. Watch for additional tour dates and info on the video to be announced shortly.

EDENSONG‘s James Schoen issues on the upcoming tour, “I saw Imminent Sonic Destruction on their last tour and it melted my face. They promised it would grow back. It has not. In all seriousness, these guys have an incredible mix of energy, playing chops and taste. They can really play but always keep an eye on what suits the song. It’s metal with a modern edge but it also satisfies my nostalgia for old school thrash and prog with blazing guitar harmonies and contrapuntal part writing. We’re all thrilled to be joining them for this tour in May as they’re also some of the nicest guys in rock and roll.”

Imminent Sonic Destruction, last seen on tour in 2016 with Norway’s Circus Maximus, has since released their critically acclaimed sophomore album, Triumphia, on Luxor Records. The band’s Tony Piccoli isues on the tour, “We first met the guys in EDENSONG as guests on Mike Portnoy’s Progressive Nation At Sea, and it was clear then that we had do something together musically. EDENSONG‘s music is filled with passion, and they represent a style of progressive rock that gets me truly excited about touring together. Two bands who’ve worked very hard on their craft, showcasing their art, it’s going to be awesome.”
