FISTULA Lets Loose With “Promiscuity Ingenuity” Via Clrvynt; Band Releases The Shape Of Doom To Cumm))) Digitally TODAY Via PATAC

FISTULA

This is how sludge should be: downtrodden, hateful and without a shred of decency.” — Clrvynt

Ohio-based pessimists/miserycore veterans FISTULA unleashed their The Shape Of Doom To Cumm))) full-length on vinyl via Totem Cat Records last month. The nihilistic, seven-track album was recorded, mastered, and produced by Dave “Big Metal” Johnson (Soulless, Midnight, Incantation) in Cleveland, features guest guitarist David Szulkin from Blood Farmers and Church Of Misery, and comes shrouded in the cover renderings of Eric C. Harrison, formerly of Grief. Initially limited to 500 vinyl copies in three color variations (100 splatter, 200 clear green, and 200 black still available for purchase at THIS LOCATION) the band is now releasing the record digitally via the PATAC Records Bandcamp page.

In conjunction with its release, Clrvynt today exposes the noxious sounds of “Promiscuity Ingenuity” issuing of the deliciously vile track, “Do you remember how Eyehategod and Buzzov*en would make you feel before the rehab? Where you’d worship their music, but were terrified to talk to those utter psychos for fear of getting a bottle upside the head? This is how sludge should be: downtrodden, hateful and without a shred of decency. Fuck you and your life – point me to the guns and drugs, and maybe, if I feel like it, I’ll pick up a guitar. But probably not, because fuck your rules. FISTULA captures that bile-spilling, hateful spirit on The Shape Of Doom To Cumm))), an exercise in vitriol that lasts seven tracks and contains its fair share of dark humor.”

Succumb to the sounds of “Promiscuity Ingenuity,” now playing exclusively at Clrvynt at THIS LOCATION.

FISTULA released their Longing For Infection full-length this past Summer. Tracked and engineered by Dave Johnson (Midnight, Incantation, Soulless), the crushing full-length features the return of FISTULA founding member Bahb Branca on second guitar, furthering the band’s already vile brand of sonic violence. FISTULA was forged in 1998 by musical partners-in-crime Corey Bing and Bahb Branca. Over the course of their existence, FISTULA has released a seemingly endless barrage of studio albums and split EPs through numerous lineup changes featuring the creative talents of bands such as –(16)-, Sloth, Hemdale, The Disease Concept, Accept Death, and so many others. FISTULA is a band that is impossible to categorize, combining elements of remedial sludge, hardcore and a proverbial “bad case of the Mondays.” Nearing two decades of ear bleeding, FISTULA remains the kings of doomed-out “miserycore.”
