After a short holiday slumber, Detroit’s favorite road hounds, CHILD BITE, will take to the streets again for another round of onstage pandemonium. The live chaos will commence February 11th in Saginaw, Michigan and trample through eleven cities, the trek coming to a close on February 21st again in their home state in Grand Rapids. The band will be joined by Against The Grain for the first three dates before uniting with hardcore punk legends, Poison Idea, for the remaining run.

Comments frontman Shawn Knight: “Us CHILD BITE assholes have been chomping at the bit to hit the road again. Feels weird to sit still for more than a week or so. We are tickled pink to finally be doing a few out of state shows with our Detroit bros Against The Grain! Both of our bands have been hitting it hard for a while now; I’m glad we can combine forces. We met Poison Idea when we both played Berserker Fest last year, so when they asked us to do some East Coast and Canadian dates with them we responded with a resounding, ‘duh!.’ These are our first shows of the New Year and we are ready to blast off with a big kaboom!”

In related CHILD BITE missives, the band recently issued a new video for the track “Still Fucked Up After All These Years” from their most recent release — the 2014 Housecore Records-issued Strange Waste EP which offers up a delightfully bastardized hybrid of the Melvins, Dead Kennedys, Big Black and Faith No More. Elaborates longtime band comrade and director, Nathaniel Shannon of the band’s milky new video: “Over the Summer I went out on a mini-tour with CHILD BITE, my old buds from our mutual hometown of Detroit. I was pleased to learn that these dudes eat nothing but milkshakes. This isn’t a ‘three meals a day’ type thing. Just milkshakes, all day, every day. It gives them fuel like Dave Mustaine’s bangs, which I’m sure would taste great if they were frozen in a cup with milk and sugar. They even built a mini freezer with a tap that has milk shake in it, so they can have milkshakes on demand in the van. A great way to unwind as you cruise across America during the swells of July with your hair in the wind. We felt that their love of milkshakes needed to make love to sweet sweet music.”

“Still Fucked Up After All These Years” is currently playing at Revolver. Point your peepers on over to THIS LOCATION and get your milkshake on.

Titled Negative Noise, CHILD BITE‘s impending new full-length was recorded by Philip H. Anselmo and will be released via Housecore Records. Further details to be revealed shortly. In the meantime, Strange Waste is currently available on CD, double vinyl seven-inch (recently repressed with alternate artwork/colored wax) and digitally via Housecore Records at THIS LOCATION.
