Denver blackened sludge trio, PRIMITIVE MAN, are delighted to spread their negativity with their band new video for “Antietam,” now scarring eyes, tainting souls and frightening the weak at Bloody Disgusting.
Filmed and created by Marcos Morales and Neil Barrett at Dirt City Studios in Austin, Texas, the graphic nine-minute clip combines live footage with blood, violence, cult rituals and nudity for an all-around uplifting viewing experience.

Following a June run of live takeovers through Europe set to kick off later this week, PRIMITIVE MAN, will levy their misanthropic canticles upon North America for a twenty-three-date trek set to commence on July 19th on their home turf. The band will be joined by Copenhagen hardcore/black metal merchants, Hexis.

PRIMITIVE MAN will be touring in support of their latest full-length, Scorn. Recorded by Dave Otero at Flatline Audio (Cephalic Carnage, Catheter, Cobalt, etc.), the record was initially unleashed early last year via a collaboration between Throatruiner and Mordgrimm Records before being reissued by Relapse in August. Dubbed a “totally malignant sounding record … that will consume you whole if you’re not careful,” by Cvlt Nation, the record continues to reap critical worship globally. The Quietus boasts, “I cannot for the life of me imagine anything better was done with guitars in 2013. I recommend Scorn becomes your fix of racket immediately,” American Aftermath commends Scorn‘s, “…seven tracks of pure hatred, self-loathing and psychotic rage,” adding that “Scorn will instill feelings of dread and fear in you and you will love every freaking minute of it,” while Metal Hammer calls it, “the best worst thing that has ever happened to you.” About.com agrees, “this is one of the most brutal, unsettling and uncompromising albums you will hear all year,” while Blabbermouth adds, “PRIMITIVE MAN seek to numb the senses and freeze the heart using lumbering tidal waves of bleak, suffocating sonic nihilism, more likely to reduce those who absorb it into helpless, convulsing fetal positions.”
