Today an official new video from MUMAKIL has been unleashed just in time to get you fired up for the weekend. The “Death From Below” video matches the immaculately captured yet crushing audio direct from the album to brutal live footage of the band performing the album’s whirlwind opening track, filmed by Schlep at L’Usine located in the band’s hometown of Geneva, Switzerland, with a legion of the town’s finest grindfreaks going berserk in the pit.
Go get some “Death From Below” at Invisible Oranges RIGHT HERE.
Produced by the band at Terrier 5 Studio in Geneva, and the first MUMAKIL album to be released in four years, Flies Will Starve will hit the streets June 25th in North America, preceded by its release June 21st in Germany/Benelux/Finland and June 24th in the UK and abroad. The album devastates the listener with twenty-four tracks of precision grindcore teetering on the edge of insanity in the vein of Birdflesh, Misery Index, Antigama and Kill The Client. The oppressive percussion only lets up to build-up to the next blinding blast, the strings jackhammering forth the band’s most death-influenced riffing yet and of course the razorchoked vocal bloodbath is nothing short of nauseatingly awesome.
Witness further proof of the album’s wrecking power with the animated lyric video for “Wrong Turn” at the Relapse Youtube page, as well as the track “Army Of Freaks” via a label podcast at Metal Injection, or with the audio premiere of “Death from Below” alongside a set of writer and fan-based interview questions at American Aftermath.
Stay tuned for tour updates and more on MUMAKIL as Flies Will Starve nears release; for now several European shows and festival dates are pending for the Summer months.

“Mumakil has gone for a very modern production style that emphasizes intensity but cleans up the sound a bit, making the bass drum completely tear through the wall of sound and hit you right in the chest.” – Cosmos Gaming
