VANDERBUYST: Hard Rock Trio Pillage Dutch Alternative Charts With #1 Position

Flying Dutchmen, the third full-length from classic/hard rock trio VANDERBUYST, this week entered the Dutch Alternative Top 30 at the #1 position in its first week! Additionally, the band raided the regular Dutch Album Top 100 at #33 and was the third highest new entry in the official Album chart. (behind Green Day and Bruno Mars). This marks the first time since Sleeze Beez back in 1990 that a Dutch hard rock band entered the Dutch Album Charts!

European audiences can check out VANDERBUYST on an extensive tour to promote Flying Dutchmen this month and into 2013, with additional tour dates to be confirmed in the coming weeks. Recently released on December 7th by German cult label Ván Records (Soulfood Distribution), Flying Dutchmen was recorded, mixed and mastered by Pieter “Pidah” Kloos at The Void Studio in Eindhoven (The Devil’s Blood, Motorpsycho). The record has reaped critical acclaim since its release, elevating the VANDERBUYST name to new levels worldwide.

Vanderbuyst has played over two hundred forty shows in sixteen countries over the the last three-and-a-half years. They provided main support for bands like Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Michael Schenker and more in 2012, including an extensive European tour with Saxon, and even shared the main stage of Hellfest 2012 with Mötley Crüe, Blue Öyster Cult and and Ozzy Osbourne.
